Featured Event In Bend On Feb. 28: Lego Robotics!
This space won’t always be events about kids, but most of the kids’ events I see rule.
Legos + robotics? Teenager me would love this, and adult me does as well. We have an increasing Lego collection here at the Gouker household and I am now thinking I want my Legos to be able to move.
What: Lego Robotics via Bend Parks and Rec
Where: DIYcave, 444 SE 9th St, #150
When: Feb. 28, 4-5:30 p.m., plus other Wednesdays through the spring
Cost: $76, in district
More information: Bend Parks website
From BPRD:
In this intro workshop you will build and program robots using LEGO’s® educational SPIKE app kits. By workshop’s end, students will have a solid foundation in LEGO robotics and be able to create, modify and control their own robotic creations.
We’re lucky to have such a robust offering for classes and sports of all types through Bend Parks. If you’re looking for things to do to entertain yourself or the kiddos, browsing their offerings is always a good place to start.
